Split Ends Are No Fun
Split ends are the enemy of anyone who wants gorgeous and healthy hair. Unfortunately, it’s so easy to get them. If you’re sick of looking in the mirror and seeing unwelcome frizzy ends staring straight back at you, you can take action. Keeping annoying split ends out of your hair can be a lot easier than you think.
Go for a Trim
If you’re truly serious about fighting split ends, make going for a trim something you do routinely, no excuses. Visit a salon to trim your hair, too. This is extremely important. Professional stylists are equipped with scissors that are optimal for hair cutting and hair health. Standard kitchen and craft scissors, however, are not. They often have dull blades that are capable of exacerbating split end problems, frustratingly enough.
Use Conditioner on Your Locks’ Ends
It’s crucial to never neglect conditioner use. Don’t forget to put conditioner on the tips of your locks. Once you do that, allow the formula to remain there for a few minutes or so. This will give your hair the opportunity to absorb the conditioner properly. When you’re finally ready to rinse out your strands, refrain from removing the conditioner 100 percent. It’s essential, however, to rinse away the bulk of it. You don’t want to walk around with a head that feels dirty, icky and oily, after all!
Consider the Hair Tie You Use
If you’re the kind of person who frequently uses a hair tie, be careful. Refrain from using a hair rubber band that’s excessively tight. This kind of band can trigger breakage and therefore can trigger the development of split ends galore. Make a point to purchase hair ties that are softer and less aggressive on your locks.
Invest in a Wide-Tooth Comb
Prevent annoying and persistent split ends from popping up in your hair by purchasing a wide-tooth comb. After you condition your locks, use a wide-tooth comb to get rid of any tangles that may have emerged. Do so in a slow and measured manner. This can defend your
hair from breakage. People often experience breakage when they brush their locks after towel-drying them.
Blow Dry Your Hair Like a Champion
If you want to prevent split ends, you should avoid going overboard with heat styling tools. When you do use a blow dryer, however, you should be smart. Make sure your hairdryer is equipped with a nozzle that can manage airflow properly. Also, your priority should be to keep your hair’s exposure to strong heat minimal. Lastly, we do haircuts, hair coloring, keratin treatments, and Dominican blowouts.
